How many point per game would it take for you to consider somebody a "scorer"? Last year was Maines 1st year as a starter and avg 10 a game. Maines is a senior also this year and going into her 2nd year as a starter and extremely athletic. Why is she not being mentioned? Hendricks 1st year as a starter avg 8.5 pts as a freshman. She's going in to her 3rd year playing varsity. 2nd year as a starter

 

Every year always seems to be the same question. When Toria Fischer graduated people said the same thing and then Dawn Peacock stepped up. Then last year when Dawn was gone Jordan stepped up to be the top scorer.

 

The concern I see is who can fill in after the starters (subs)And who is the fifth starter for Conner?

 

Just my opinion...but when I saw the others in big games, I didn't see much scoring. Also, Jordan required a lot of attention from defenses last year. I think some of those points from some that you mentioned came from opportunities that Jordan created from defenses sagging. They have the tools, just not sure who will step up in the scoring department. No knock on any of them!

I would also add that I saw Conner really struggle with ball handling last year. The one game I remember in particular, Scott ended up bringing the ball up against pressure and she even struggled. Gambrel was out that game, but pluto and scott played and they had trouble taking care of the ball. Now no pluto and no scott. Love Gambrel, but can she take the whole load for an entire game? Maybe!

 

May need to bring up a couple of those 7th graders!!!!!:ylsuper:

Get in tip top condition and stay out of foul trouble!

 

There's enough timeouts and dead balls to go a whole game. Also, there's typically a couple of non-sense fouls, so stay discipline and keep those silly fouls to a minimum.

Highlands is there because my daughter plays...why else?? No, I honestly think that's where they can rank. I agree, they have some question marks and one being consistency, but they have 2 starters back and 4-5 girls that were high game scorers at least once last year, even with all the seniors they had last year. So young, yes. But experienced youth. I do think Boone could very easily be that 4th team, but again...my daughter!!!

Two choices: A. Place your daughters team low in the top 10 and take a chance on her being mad at you or B. place them in the top 5 and keep the peace. Good choice RCC. I would of went with B as well, but I would of had to put my daughters team at #1. Cause she's her mothers daughter and I'm not going down that lonely road. :thumb:
