PurplePride92
I'm going to go with the Heat over the Thunder. Derrick Rose battles Lebron for MVP and barely loses. Kobe averages 25 points a game. DWade cheap shots Kevin Durant. Howard makes the Rockets a better team and he and Harden make a pretty good duo. The Lakers will be better than I think....which means they make the playoffs as an 8 seed in dramatic fashion again. Lebron averages 28,8,8. Jumper_Dad
I've got Pacers and Heat in the East Finals and Clippers and Thunder in the West Finals. Season Notes: Dwade will be lost for the season at some point due to injury. DRose will show flashes of his old self but in the end will not be the same player that he was. Kobe will have a great run when he get's back from injury, but Lakers will miss playoffs and Kobe will strongly consider walking away while still on top of his game (ie...Mariano Rivera) Houston will start strong and fade as the season goes along....NEWS FLASH Howard will be unhappy Spurs will get old before our eyes and will noticeably drop off this season Nets and Knicks, both relevant in the same season...is that possible? Yes, but at least one of them will flame out in the first round.
PurplePride92
What your prediction for when Kobe makes it back. I still think his plan to return is Opening Night against the Spurs. If he doesn't come back Opening Night then I expect him back no later than Christmas.

PurplePride92
If I'm Kobe I save a few miles on knees and injury and shoot for just before Christmas. That would likely be smart. The problem is that he is playing for a contract extension and he has to prove he can still play at a high level to get that Kobe money. I don't think he'll come back until he thinks he can be effective and we all know in his mind he can be effective at 75%.

Getslow
Other predictions: - The Warriors will be my favorite team... again. - I'm going to head to a bar with League Pass at least twice this season with the specific purpose of watching a Timberwolves game. - I will be late to court at least once this season because I stayed up until 2:00 am watching Inside the NBA after a particularly good matchup. Randy Parker
^ I wouldn't call them a favorite team of mine, but the Warriors are incredibly fun to watch.
Getslow
^ I wouldn't call them a favorite team of mine, but the Warriors are incredibly fun to watch. I've never had an NBA team. I never really watched the league at all before the Cavs and Bulls fans I met in college wouldn't shut up about it. My late-blooming fandom has allowed me the ability to separate myself and love the game on a purely aesthetic level. Give me lots and lots of points and crazy guard play. I'll keep watching as well but I am already bored. Ready for some basketball. NBA, college, high school, middle school......I'm ready!!!!!!!!
