Series at Logan County: Bowling Green leads 8-0

 

The series history between these two can be summer up quite easily - dominance by the Purples. Obviously the Cougars have never won. They've only come within 21 points a single time, a 24-14 loss in the 1998 playoffs. They haven't scored more than 7 points against Bowling Green in their last five meetings, and have been held to 8 or less points in all but 4 of their all-time meetings. Meanwhile, the Purples have scored 60 or more the last four times the teams have met, and over 70 in two of the last three times.

 

It gets little better for Logan County when examining the current season. The Purples are in their rest period following their tough schedule to start the year. They enter 5-0, are a consensus #1 in 5A and a surefire top 3 school regardless of class with exhausting arguments undertaken as to whether they are the best school in the state this year period. Logan County enters at 0-6, with only 28 points scored on the year and 21 of those coming in their last game against Allen County-Scottsville. They've yet to hold a team under 47 points and gave up 60+ twice.

 

The real question is not who wins. The real question is - is the clock running before the first quarter is over?

Prediction? Grecian Formula stock will rise significantly as the Logan Co coaching staff's hair turns grayer and grayer every day trying to figure out how to just escape this game alive. BG jv are in to finish the game halfway through the 2nd qtr., BG cruises and will keep the score from getting completely out of hand...59-0.

BigVMan23 is spot on! When the #1 5A team plays the #40 and last placed 5A team, I guess this is what you get. Hey, at least the kids playing next year get a chance to warm up now.
