Franklin County Flyers 3-0 makes the long trip to Sower Field to take on the Frankfort High Panthers 1-1. Franklin County seems to be clicking on all pistons early in this football season. While the Panthers are struggling on the offensive side of the ball.

The Flyers have controled this series over the last 10 years. The last time Frankfort won was 2009.

Who wins this battle this season?

From what I hear, there are quite a few injuries on both sides.

Franklin county hasn't had one of their most dynamic players yet this season and have had some kids banged up recently.

Frankfort had a player with a broken foot that I am not sure has completely recovered.

Should be a good game and is always fun for fans. Just hope all can stay healthy with district just around the conrner for both teams

As for my pick...I think depth will come into play, as it usually does when small schools play big schools. FC-42 FHS-13

Franklin Co. 48-20.

Seems as if Franklin co. is much faster this overall team this go around and I think Panthers will have their hands full. I look for the Panthers to shorten the game and control the clock, it only help when "Dirty thirty" are bang up coming of Green co.

Man things must be bad at FHS Hip-Hop Box says Franklin County is faster, last year we had Timmons and he said that FHS was faster???? Did I read this right?? Do you think the Panthers can Shorten the game by running on the Flyers? Looked like FHS had trouble running the ball at all even against GC.

Hip-hop, it looks like both teams got a little banged up in last weeks game. I am pretty sure county won't be at full strength. Any word on how banged up high is?

Who is banged up for FCHS? Can you give me a run down of Friday nights game Gortney? Missed it but got a good look at FHS friday.

I did say "Overall Team". Key thing for the Panther to win this game or either team is to be the most discipline team. Emotions are gonna be running high, all these kids played together growing up in the "FYFL". I'm looking forward to a good game.

Well the Hurst kid hasn't played yet, Roberts went out late,I think with cramps though. And a couple of players went down with what looked to be rolled ankles or other minor injuries.

"Craps" have seem to bite everyone this early season, Hopefully everyone is properly hydrated for Fridays game.

TO THE TOP!!! Game day hoping for a good contest with both teams at full force?? Any injuries for reall or just posturing by the two squads.

This game is at the top of my list of scores to watch with Beechwood traveling to Franklin County next week.

Frankfort will be without Jalen Acree this week. Torn MCL last week against Green Co.

Best wishes to the young man. MCL only ... a chance he can return this season, right? Hopefully he isn't a senior. Nothing worse than a player losing his senior season to injury.
