Don't get me wrong, Cougars got some talent, but If I'm not mistaken we have heard this the past couple seasons with

zero results.

That is a fair statement & good point but I still think teams should be smart & not overlook Conner or assume this is another talented Conner team that will self destruct at end!! I think what hurt Conner last year was not using the bench more during the season. Once Scott or Pluto got in trouble, their subs lacked Varsity pressure experience & it definitely showed in that loss to Boone Co at districts!!!

Very good point, and a few other teams had this problem has well.

Just my opinion, but the region is a two pony race. Assuming everyone stays healthy and the talent everyone has coming back, this you be mine.

ND 1A

NCC 1B

Then,

Holy Cross (assuming Turner is legal, If turner isn't legal, throw them in the pack below)

Then (in no particular order)

Boone, Ryle, Conner and HHS.

If you're going to include Conner in any of these discussions, you have to include HHS and Ryle for the exact same reason (young talent). HHS is young, fast and talented. They can all shoot and can all handle the ball. They have two returning starters and 5 with significant varsity experience. They will have up to six girls that could go off at any night. They will rotate about 8 girls that can flat out get after you! Don't get me wrong. They may not be ready to consistently knock off the big two and they will lose some they shouldn't, but they will be a team you don't want to play! I think their issues will be that they won't be as strong as in the past and they don't have a superstar to put them on their back when they need it. But they will play together and have multiple optons. If they shoot well, it will be a long night for anyone in the region. If they don't, then flip a coin! At the Louisville camp, they gave the best team their only loss. They hit something like 14 3's or something crazy like that. They won going away. The other team never really even got challenged by anyone else. And HHS didn't even have their starting point guard in that camp. Again, they will be a tough and are every bit as good as Conner.

Ryle is young, but long and very AAU experienced. They will be a force in the next couple years as well and will surprise people this year. Of course the new coach will be an X factor until we see how that plays out.

I can see your point & agree!! Hopefully with all the talented youth playing on various 9th Region teams, a KY State Title can be brought home where is belongs!!! I look for the class of 2016 to have strong teams fighting for that spot...Highlands, Conner & Ryle should be tough!!

And I give your Panthers Love and get no respect for our Valkries in the 7th.

:jump: :jump:

I don't see Assumption winning the 7th because of their guard play. Nora K can't do it all. It's a three team race between SHA, Ballard, and Manual.[/

SHA was the only team to give my "PANTHERS" fits this summer...:thumb:

You better add another group of fillies onto this list of 7th region contenders: EASTERN. They will be a very dangerous and potent group this season, and cannot be overlooked.

And that was without one of our star players Raven.

Yes I agree as I stated earlier in this thread.
