Clay co. did'nt have Lexington Catholic scheduled at the start of the season.Im not sure what the circumstances was,but I know South had LC scheduled at the start of the season and had to cancel and Clay picked them up.If Jim Schue comes in this thread he can say how it went for sure.

I was told from a very good source, it was a case of overscheduling.

It was a matter of conflicts over scheduling dates. LC was never actually on the correct schedule from the beginning of the season. The "Scoreboard" had an incorrect schedule posted.

In all honestly baring 2 huge upsets, it's going to be Corbin and South Laurel in the championship game. For one, Coach Wright is a classy guy and will not punish the kids of Williamsburg for the actions of Coach Haynes. Second of all, Coach Wright will know that they will get a hard fight against Corbin in what should be the championship game. There is no denying South is the better team but Coach Wright and the Cardinals know Corbin is not intimidated anymore. Yes South won by 17 but it was a 3-7 point game until the final 3 minutes in the last game at Corbin. He will rest them and have them focused for a battle and a rowdy crowd.

 

I wouldnt be so sure. SL is a lock IMO. But Corbin....... they have as good a chance as anyone, but I wouldnt count them in as a lock.

 

However, if it does come down to SL and Corbin..... I really dont think it would be a tough matchup. SL beat Corbin by 17 at Corbin (and it was a 7 point game with 3 minutes left) and beat them by 30 something at SL. This game will be played at Clay, so I'm betting it is a 15-20 point victory for SL.

My bad....... thought he was discussing region. But it really doesnt matter...... still see it as a double digit win for SL.
