Yesterday didn't go as planned. Got Mom up to get ready to take her to the surgery and she had a pain in her right side running from below her rib cage up to her neck. It was a struggle for her to get ready and her oxygen levels dropped so low I had to put her back on oxygen.

 

Got her to the hospital and they took her back to pre-op, there they decided that her knee surgery was off because of the pain. They were afraid it was a blood clot to the lung. So they moved her to the ER.

 

From there they ran tests, scans, ultrasounds and so forth and decided it was a gallbladder. So the ER Dr starts giving her pain medicine and put her back on her blood thinners that she a quit taking to prepare for the surgery. He was also getting her a surgeon for the gallbladder.

 

Surgeon come in and they can't do the surgery yesterday because she was back on the blood thinner. So they had to stop that and wait until 6 PM tonight to remove the gallbladder.

 

Because of her heart condition and other medical problems the surgeon said that this would be as serious as open heart surgery.

 

Don't know what the day holds yet.
