Harlan County 36 Knox Central 7 (Scrimmage)

Featured Replies

How good is Knox Central? How good of a look is this for Harlan County? I'll get to see Harlan County next weekend in at the Roy Kidd Bowl.

Was this expected or is it surprising?

Good deal. Thank you Sir! :thumb:

Harlan County is going to be very, very good this season.

I think they are the clear cut #1 team East of I-75 (not including the NKY teams obviously)

Harlan County should be very good this year. Knox Central will probably be good, but they lost a couple key pieces from last season. I would expect Knox and Russell, and perhaps Clay to battle for the district title.

My friends in the mountains really like this Harlan County team. They may be the 5A team coming out of the East.

Harlan County plays Belfry early in the season. That game will be able to give a pretty clear picture whether the Black bears are a contender or a pretender. From all I have heard about HCHS I have a strong suspicion they make a statement against my beloved Pirates who are rebuilding their Front 7 on Defense.

I'm not sure if Harlan County is a contender or pretender, but their performance against Belfry probably won't determine that. Looking at the eastern side of 5A, outside of maybe Conner or Cooper, I'm almost certain Belfry would be the best team there. Harlan County should likely be considered one of the eastern 5A favorites no matter their performance in that game (unless of course they lose by 40!).
