Great recognition for all named but I don't put much stock into any "national" ratings for teams and coaches. Too many variables.

Did he step down to another role or retire? When?

 

I think he stepped down and is now a volunteer rb coach.

That's pretty cool, but I'm surprised John McKisick wasn't mentioned as one of the best in the country. He only has more wins than any coach at any level. Has averaged something like 10 wins a year for 60 years of coaching and has only has 2 losing seasons in all that time.
