Does Woody have hoops coaching experience? Definitely a great choice if they are looking for a native.

 

Woody was an assistant at Ludlow under Joe Beard for a few years if I'm not mistaken.

I know of a very talented coach who is mulling this over. I hope he decides to apply as it would be great for Ludlow.

Coach Blevins from Cooper would be a good choice.

From what I've heard they are looking for someone within the school system. Don't even know who those candidates would be but...

I have heard rumors of Randy Wofford taking over the Boys team and his Vicki taking over the girls team. I believe coach Hart is a very good coach, however he seam to have a tough time managing his players last year.

I don't know if he had a tough time managing his players or not. But they did underachieve last season, which isn't the norm for Coach Hart's teams.

Randy and Vikki are very good people and they do a lot good things for the school and the kids.

........Heard from an avid fellow BGP'er that a very talented young coach (with outstanding big-program assistant [and AAU] experience) applied last night. I don't know him but I hear good things about him.

I spoke with someone VERY close to the Ludlow program, and he confirmed to me that the likely scenario at this point is Randy Wofford taking over the boy's and Vicki Wofford coaching the girls.... And that the school expects a big year from the boys. They think with a lot of returners including Howard and Cody this could be one of the best team's the river school has ever produced...

I have heard that at least some of the interviews have taken place. I will be interested to see who they are able to come up with at this time of the year. Good luck to all involved and Go Panthers!

I say they bring back the Clary family... Always were successful back when they were being coached by a Clary.

My point is they would rather hire within than hire the best coach for the job. That dont happen at good programs unless its a no brainer. All I am saying is come out of your circle Ludlow and dont be affraid to hire someone from the outside. It cant hurt!
