At one point in the second quarter GRC had Ashland down 26-6. Preston Knowles and Durrell Holloman did not start or play any of the 1st quarter. End of 3rd was GRC 47 Ashland 23. JV played most of 4th quarter.

No big surprise! I'm not worried about the Tomcat season because it is a disaster already and probably won't get any better. I just hope that Ashland can get by Rose Hill in the District!!

GRC is a very good team and in the 6 loses, they are a combined 30 pts away, from being undeafted....with 4 of those loses, by 4 pts or less.

Big problems must exist for Ashland. They have too much talent to be losing like this. I'm guessing the game that they beat Boyd Co looks to be a fluke. They have produced no offense since that game, which should have been a momentum building game.

No surprise here. I cant take this anymore.

How did Drew and Matt play? What was the reason for their benching!! Who started? What were the stats!

If Ashland keeps this pace up, it may be Rose Hill jumping for joy that they drew Ashland for Districts, instead of the other way around.

I only listened to the 1st half, so I dont know any info about the game. Who knows why he benched them. Some people have said he wasnt happy with their effort against East Carter, well Drew had 17 in that game, so I dont know what he could be thinking. It OBVIOUSLY didnt work. :mad:

Ashlands kids played hard tonight. It is just a down year for Ashland and they have played a very tuff schedule. Kids read these boards...they and the whole program need your support now more than ever.

Keep up the hard work Ashland....the season isn't over yet :thumb:

I give most of my attention to our other winter sport – wrestling. Ashland actually has some good wrestlers in action today at the McDonald’s Classic hosted by Johnson Central. This tournament is a prelude to the Regional tournament next weekend.

 

I hope that the basketball team snaps out of it - keep working.
