Nice win for Morgan! I expected a blowout, so what more can you say!!

Morgan County played well in spurts. Cougars were led by Katlin Haney's 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Nathaniel Peyton added 12 and Derrick Young had 10.

 

It was special to see Morgan sophomore Logan May back on the court. Battling illness for over 8 months and just recently had surgery on his throat...he comes back, gets in the game at and drills a big three pointer...it made the Channel 27 highlights.

 

A terrific shooter May is and while he'll play limited JV/V minutes probably for a while...it's just nice to see him get well. One of the better "comeback player of the year" stories from within the 16th region.

We were just talking about him after the Boyd Co game and wondered why he wasn't playing. Glad he is well enought to be playing ball again.

I am so glad that this young man is back in the game and recovering! Congratulations to him, his team, and his family!

Logan May is a winner both on and off the court. I expect great things from him on the Cougar basketball team. He is a natural dribbler and shooter and is very skilled at the game.

I missed the game last night due to a family emergency (everything is fine now) but congrats to the Cougs on the easy victory. I plan on being at tonights game and I expect it to be a little more contested.

Tough year for Hampton and his kids. I condsider him one of the top three coaches in the region but there just isn't much talent there to work with, and there doesn't seem to be much coming up.

Thanks for the concern Nets, my wife's mother was pretty under the weather for a few days but is showing improvement and hopefully will get to go home this week.
