JJackson whacked people on both sides of the ball. That was the difference.

I am not saying Beechwood is faster and/or Mayfield is slower. I am saying speed is not the problem. I think the biggest factor has been the system and style of play. Mayfield's short passing game with bubble passes, quick slants, etc. have been tough for Beechwood's defense to handle. Conversely, Beechwood's lack of a passing game has hurt them offensively. Beyond those general factors, it is all about execution of game plan and matchups. Mayfield has been better. They have been better at the line of scrimmage. And Jonathon Jackson has been a huge factor, especially the last couple years.

 

I have said for 3 years now that Beechwood has been out-coached. Last year it was close at half, Mayfield adjusted, Beechwood did not and got smoked the 2nd half.

Coachg, a NKY guy thought "Good game by the Cards. They seem to have 3-4 guys as fast as Vocke. If they keep their heads on it will be hard for anyone to beat them next week. Good luck and travel safe. A large part of this Tiger team will return next year. Maybe we can go for 3 in a row."
