The best explanation I've ever read for this is that asking what infinity times infinity might equal is fundamentally the same as asking about orange times Bulgaria. Infinity is not a number and does not represent any number -- it's a concept -- and so plugging it into a mathematical construct like addition or multiplication doesn't do anything. It just doesn't work. It is like trying to explain how posi-track rear end works.......it just does....

July 6, 201313 yr When you're a deep thinker like I obviously am time is not an issue. What is time exactly? Time- an interval between two events, often measured in seconds, hours, days etc.

July 6, 201313 yr Then how do you contemplate infinity/0? Actually this is close to an accurate mathematical representation of infinity. The classic equation is "x = 1/y" As y approaches zero x approaches infinity. y can never be zero and x can never by infinity but you can just keep going and nothing stops you. The graphed curve for x near y= 0 would go on forever and never touch.
