May be 1 or 2 transfers, however not who you think. Manimal is made up of 14&15 y/o boys that very few folks knew of and got them to buy in, look what they have accomplished. Casey has more to start with than manimal did , they can go places and look for them to be playing top teams next year.

 

I had not heard of a single player on the Team Manimal roster before I got a roster. Now, I'd consider at least 3-4 of them to be some of the best young players around.

 

To think that a team of unknowns came together to finish 2nd in the state AAU tourney, knock of nationally ranked Hoop Dreams (without Goodin) and earn an invite to Peach State is phenomenal.

Casey County has been to the region tournament 2 of the last 4 years if I am not mistaken. They do have 3 talented freshmen coming in as was noted. Saying Casey County will go to the region tournament should be an expectation IMO.

I'm just saying. They have been recently and Pulaski County has lost the Big 3, Somerset lost Tyson Williams and Rockcastle County is likely as young as Casey County. The opportunity is there immediately and with a coach like Stallworth in Casey County their expectations should rise and they should expect to make it to region under Stallworth's guidance.

Ok I agree but don't count pulaski out they looked a lot better in summer ball than I ever thought they would.

Maze is a good coach. But AAU is quite different from school ball. One of those incoming freshman has a dad that can be pretty difficult to deal with. He'll definitely be tested early. AAU is easy to get rid of someone.

I'm all for him working with the school but if he hassle teaching job then a complaint should be filed with the Kentucky educational standards board. It's not right and It sickens me when schools put athletic coaches with no teaching degree over an educated progressional with a degree to teach a specific subject.

So if the school gave Maze a teaching job that's good? Even if he isn't qualified to teach students? That makes no sense whatsoever.

It's also against The rules of the Kentucky Department of Education.
