July 3, 201313 yr Author I agree but he does have the best numbers of any PF in history. My research says Bob Pettit was a better power forward and had better numbers than Karl. Karl is the second highest in points scored I believe but Pettit averaged 26 and 16 to Malone's 25 and 10. Pettit invented the power forward position. Malone was also heavily dependent on Stockton's precision passes to score as well.

Can't hold playing with Stockton against Malone, all of the greats played with other greats that made their game easier.
July 3, 201313 yr I like Malone as a player, I thought drafting him would be a negative to voters though as he seems to get a less positive "perspective" than other all-time greats. And that's really not fair to Malone as he really is one of the greats, especially at his position. I think people just don't like the guy for whatever reason and it hurts his overall "status" when comparing to others.

I am guilty of slighting Malone whenever possible just because I don't like him. I do like Isiah but I think he is slighted for that same reason as is Lebron to a certain extent. Kobe is too.

I am a huge Barkley fan but Barkley doesn't get hammered nearly as hard as Malone in my opinion when it comes to the "title" argument.

July 3, 201313 yr Just noticed Cats have Magic and Thomas. That's interesting. I also like the mix that 1&only44 has going. Obviously I like mine the best though!
