July 3, 201313 yr Elissa is the wild card for me. She obviously has a target on her back but you gotta think she has been taught how to play the game with that target.
July 3, 201313 yr A handful of this cast sucks. But I think in a few weeks the bad ones will be out an the season will truly be off and running. Nick is my favorite to win if he doesn't play too hard in the early weeks. My money right now is on Nick or Spencer to win. Howard is another one up there. Everyone gets along with all three, and they're all pretty intelligent savvy players thus far.
July 3, 201313 yr Conflicted on who I think is going home tonight, but my list currently is: 1. Elissa 2. David 3. Jessie
July 3, 201313 yr Aaryn has been fired from her Talent Agency because of her racist, bigoted, and homophobic comments.
July 3, 201313 yr Aaryn has been fired from her Talent Agency because of her racist, bigoted, and homophobic comments. She was my favorite at the beginning (based solely on looks lol), but she is remarkably annoying. To your post, I never heard what she actually said?
July 3, 201313 yr Big Brother already a cesspool of racist, homophobic, and misogynistic comments + reality blurred I didn't read the whole article but if you scroll down there are a list of things said. Not good at all
July 3, 201313 yr I feel like Gina Marie said the worst racist comment because she dropped Paula Deans favorite word. But Aaryn has been non stop. David IMO said something bad like that just to impress Aaryn. Spencer even has gotten in on it. I've never seen anything like this in BB. Sometimes you might get that one person, but there is a few this season.

Not good at all Yikes... The comments in that article are unreal. And unfortunately very common.
July 3, 201313 yr I agree with this part of that article: "Ragan Fox, who was a cast member on the 12th season, asked in an open letter to producers, “What’s the point of casting racial, ethnic, and sexual minorities if production’s going to edit out the racism, ethnic discrimination, and homophobia that these people encounter inside the house?” and added, “If you really want to provide a groundbreaking twist, SHOW CBS VIEWERS HOW SOME STRAIGHT, WHITE PEOPLE talk about gays, Asian Americans, and African Americans.”
July 3, 201313 yr While the comments are ignorant and disgusting, I find it equally as ignorant that there is a petition going around and people writing letters to CBS to kick people out of the house because of it (not talking about the article by Ragan, he's 100% correct). The whole point of Big Brother is to give a snapshot into the way strangers from all backgrounds interact in a confined environment.

I don't think they should be kicked off for it, but I do think CBS should do less to censor it.
July 3, 201313 yr I think part of the problem if they don't censor it is then they make it very difficult for viewers to like people on the show. CBS needs you to like at least some of the cast. It is going to be interesting to see what type of backlash this may or may not have.
July 3, 201313 yr Author Understanding that I'm avoiding the big issues here back to the show for a moment: I'm interested to see how the vote goes down tonight. I expect it to be interesting as some people will be shocked in the house. I haven't been on the feeds in a couple of days so I'm not up to date on what's current, but last I checked it was set up for an exciting vote.

I watched the first night of the After Dark stuff, and I don't think I like being "ahead" of the shows that actually air... I may stay away from those.
July 3, 201313 yr Author I watched the first night of the After Dark stuff, and I don't think I like being "ahead" of the shows that actually air... I may stay away from those. It's not for everyone. I've did it both ways, just watched the TV episodes, and I loved the show just fine. I've also dove into the live feeds and twitter information and it's enjoyable on a different level. It is 2 completely different Big Brother experiences, it really is. I'm not saying one is superior to the other, both have their pros and cons, this is another reason I love this show so much. I can choose the level of involvement I have in it, as you are now.
