How many small (1A football size) have what would be considered successful ongoing soccer and football programs?

 

Well Kentucky Country Day and Bethlehem would both be considered strong soccer programs with decent football, but being private they are in a little different situation. A quick glance at the 32 football teams in Class 1A, without much research, it would seem like Pikeville is one program that is fairly strong in both. Of course part of that is because 15th region soccer is thinly populated a fairly weak, which could be part of the reason Paintsville was eager to jump in.

Makes me wonder if soccer isn't (partly) responsible for the difficulties encountered in developing a football program at a school like Bishop Brossart.

Berea has an excellent soccer program. I have a friend, old classmate that lives in Berea and he told me that's hurts what football they have. Soccer is king there.(That's fine btw if that's what they want). I know that you can't hardly drive through that area w/o seeing a soccer field.
