Can Schulte play D1 caliber ball? Walter... Clyde... Could you all weigh-in? I know what Ive seen out of him, very talented. Can't make up my mind about "low-major" D1....

I think he can be a really good D2 player which means the kid can play. D1 is a stretch IMO but I have to admit I haven't seen him this summer to see what he's doing better. I'm a fan of the kid. He can be a dominant player in the 9th without question.

You mentioned Eastern, any other d1 schools looking at him? And, if he develops a jumpshot, wow, he could be real tough to stop in the 9th, as if he isn't tough enough already.

Update South Carolina, Old Dominion, Lipscomb, EKU, and Wright St are the other D1's showing interest.

If he gets another D2 offer expect it to come from Alabama-Huntsville.

Wow. SC, that's big time! Would love to see him play/contribute at a school like that.

Update South Carolina, .

Do you mean Upstate South Carolina? Not the Gamecocks?

Going to a big time D1 school is an honor, but doesn't equate into PT. The kids that want a quality education and get quality minutes on the court have to be realistic about their talent level. You could be a top D2 kid or a practice squad player at a mid to high level D1 program. Some kids are fine with that because they have other aspirations, such as becoming a college coach.

Hate to see them waste a year at a D1 school only transfer into a D2 program.

Yes Upstate....not the Gamecocks. Smart phone does what it wants.

Heard tonight, Belmont coaches were at NewCath open gym a couple of nights ago to watch McDonald and Schulte.
