If you find the video and can post it that would be great as I forgot to set the DVR to watch it.

How has is recovery been so far? Does he still face many surgeries?

Update on Alex:

Alex went back to the Retina Specialist, last Wed. While Alex's vision seems to be improving, Dr. Miller then said that he will need more surgery to repair the Retina due to the scarring on the area where the Baseball did the most damage to the eye. He will also need to have his iris repaired as his pupil has been shifted to the left of his right eye and the Doc at Children's are still keeping a close eye on the orbital fractures. Thank you to Channel 19 News Anchor/Reporter, Tricia Macke and Sports Anchor/Reporter Joe Danneman for getting in touch with me to do the interview with Alex, that aired last night at 11:20 p.m. Alex will also be on the Fox 19 Morning Show, this Wed. 7/24 at 8:50 a.m. Keep Alex in your prayers and we thank each and everyone of you, for all of your love, support and prayers! God bless!

I watched the video last night and they did a terrific job. I'm hoping that Alex is able to fulfill his dream of playing at Shawnee State as he is a heck of player and by all accounts, an even better kid. Keep fighting :thumb:

Does anybody have an update on Alex?

From what I'm told the eye is fine, but the bones around the eye are still an issue. Took this semester off from school and has an upcoming surgery in a few weeks. Will keep you posted.

Taken from his mom's FB page:

After 7 months, 3 surgeries and several doctor appointments at Children's Hospital and Cincinnati Eye Institute, Alex got his special made hard contact lens, which brought his vision in his right eye to 20/30. Thrilled beyond words!

This is great news! Prayers have been answered!
