June 11, 201313 yr Author Didn't bother me. I preordered my Xbox One earlier today. Apparently they are still selling well because the preorders were sold out at all gamestops within a 100 mile radius.

June 11, 201313 yr I don't think the used game market and always online were ever going to crush one console or another, but obviously this will help Sony out. They were never going to lose Japan(a place where many game shops didn't even carry 360 stuff anymore) or parts of Europe. I just think this helps them out even more in the US.
June 11, 201313 yr Just because one system or the other is more successful it doesn't mean you can't enjoy the other system. If I buy anything from this generation, it will probably still be the Xbox One for no reason other than that Halo is the only game that draws me to a system. BUT Sony obliterated Microsoft on price point and the used game issue. If Playstation Plus is required for multiplayer then that at least mitigates that longstanding issue, but it's still going to boil down to the fact that Sony is offering arguably a more powerful system for less money and less hassle than the Xbox One. Microsoft had better adjust to at least the used game issue or else I think they're in a world of hurt. The Kinect is likely what is killing Microsoft on the price point - which quite frankly is what they get for bundling something that a lot of gamers DO NOT CARE ABOUT. One or the other then I think it's not as big. But currently Xbox One lags in both.
