2013 Draft Lottery

Aaron (I think) is a 2G. He's a shooter, so I'd think he'd fit in nicely.

Gotcha. I was thinking they were both point guards.

Aaron can also move over and play some point, would be a good combo guard for them.

^When they jumped into the Top 3, I was really hoping they'd pull off #1. Adding a guy like Nerlans in the middle would've been a huge upgrade IMO.

Yeah me too, I would love to see Nerlens and Wall on the same team. Could still possibly happen though if Cleveland trades the pick or chooses to go with Porter instead. Magic will probably go with McLemore or Burke, so if that were to pan out he could fall all the way to the Wiz at three. Wiz will still end up with one of Noel, Porter, or McLemore, which is still far more helpful to the team than anyone they could have got at 8+. Some reports saying they like Anthony Bennett, I sure hope not. All they need is another undersized forward without a true position.

So Chad Ford said that Noel may not go to the Cavs because they are looking to trade the pick.

- Also said that if they want a chance at the #1 pick next year they should take Noel (basically tanking before the season even begins) The problem with the NBA lottery.

- Said if picked #1 Noel probably won't play the first year and may not even be effective in year 2.

- Cavs should take Otto Porter if they want immediate help.

Be interesting to see how it all plays out.

That's not a bad option but I would prefer to trade into next years lottery.

Boogie is a 17 and 10 guy now . I'd like a shot at Wiggins, Parker or Randle. But I don't know if I'd take anyone else over Boggie. With Kyrie , Boogie could easily be a 22 and 12 guy.

Porter is overrated IMO. Decent prospect not a team changer. Only 3 guys I see that can be that are Noel, MacLemore, and possibly Tret Burke. None of them may end up being that but in a draft this crappy I'd gamble.

If I'm Cleveland no way do I not take Nerlens and go high in the lottery again.

I honestly don't think Noel is a "team changer" with the number 1 pick. He's a shot blocker and good defender but offensively he is limited right now. Really has to work on scoring.

Didn't say he was. Said he potentially was. Look at how limited Howard is offensively and what he's able to do. With the way NBA defenses are set up ill take my chances with a potentially dominant defensive big man.

There are no "team changers" or "franchise guys" in this years draft. However, there are plenty of solid rotation guys who will be in the league for a while. Although somebody like Otto Porter may not ever be the star, go to guy, or even second or third option, he will still make a team better. Does everything well, especially pass. He has good length, but only decent athleticism. The main thing is he is basketball smart and is only going to get better, he didn't play AAU or anything like that so he still has a pretty high ceiling IMO. I think he will end up like a Rudy Gay type player and have a Rudy Gay type impact eventually. You put that on a team that already has some solid pieces, like a Washington, Cleveland, etc. then it ends up paying off.

There are a lot of those guys in this draft, guys who may not even start their first couple of seasons. However, eventually they will be solid role players and rotation guys.

My view on Nerlens is if Roy Hibbert can end up having the impact he's having, then I imagine Nerlens can be that and then some. I'm sure most GM's and coaches would be cool with that. I know Hibbert is a lot bigger, but it took him a few seasons before he really came along. I think if Nerlens can add some weight, he can at worst be a Roy Hibbert, and at best be a better more athletic Roy Hibbert (if the knee holds up).

Roy Hibbert is probably the biggest reason why Indy is a contender. That makes him a team changer in my book.

Well there you go, Nerlens can likely have the same impact for someone. I feel Hibbert is a solid player and worthy of the deal he signed last year, I think Noel is the better prospect at this point in his career.
