Thomas Nelson 2013

Featured Replies

What does Thomas Nelson need to do to improve in 2013? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Is Thomas Nelson playing varsity this season? I know they were supposed to, but they aren't listed on the KHSAA schedule for 2013.

Yes, this is their first year of playing a varsity schedule.

They are 2A District 3 (I think), with:

Bardstown

Fort Knox

CAL

Washington County

DeSales

Shawnee

They also play Spencer County as a non district game. There is 7 games. Not sure of their other 3? Maybe in county rivals Bethlehem and Nelson County as two other games?

They join 2A D4 with WC, B'town, et al.

I have to double-check, but I'm pretty sure Bethlehem is on there. I have advocated there to be a "Bourbon City Bowl" at NCHS on the turf, either a four-game event or two game event. If it's four games, have the local schools play somebody from without over the course of two days. If two games, you would have Bethlehem play either TNHS or Bardstown and the other play NC, then alternate years. Would be a pretty cool event and good for local football.

Couldn't remember if that was Dist 3 or Dist 4..

Awesome idea of the Bourbon City Bowl. I think the Friday/Saturday event would be the thing to do, no doubt.

Is Greg Brohm still the coach?

Didn't he go back to college?

If that's the case, I wonder who will be running his football camp at TNHS in a couple weeks?

When is this camp?, what are the age groups?, how can kids be signed up?
