That's not a knock on Rose Hill, but I think any team would rather play them as Boyd County or Fairview. I'm sure that Rose Hill is pretty happy with their draw, as well. Let's face the facts, Rose Hill is 0-5 against the 16th Region this season and their only decent wins were against Lawrence County and Breathitt County. Here are their wins with the teams' records in parentheses:

 

- 3 wins vs. The David School (0 - 24)

- 2 wins vs. Riverside Christian (2 - 15)

- 1 win vs. Breathitt County (3 - 16)

- 1 win vs. Lawrence County (8 - 13)

- 1 win vs. Piarist School (6 - 13)

- 3 wins vs. Small out-of-state schools

 

The Kentucky teams that they have defeated have a total record of 19 wins and 81 losses. I think the future is bright for Rose Hill if they keep their young players in school, but this isn't the year. Again, I'm not against Rose Hill at all, but anyone would rather play them instead of a top-5 team in the region.

AT41, I know that you are a die hard Tomcat fan, and go way overboard sometimes with your predictions and statements on here, but the post below sure makes it seem like you've given up on the basketball team, or at least it looks like you think that Bonner should give up on basketball.

 

I havent given up on basketball, but its just extremely hard to stay optimistic, and Im not affraid to come out and say it. I dont think Bonner should give up on basketball, but with the way this season has gone and is going, he probably would have been better served getting ready for football with his brother.

The RH game is not a lock by any means. I hope our boys can turn it on soon, and I will be there every night rooting them on just like I have been all year.

Ashland should be happy with their draw. Rose Hill has played a schedule that could be a problem come the post season. Remember Rose Hill starts 3 8th graders. On the other hand Ashland has played a schedule that was made with the post season in mind. Given that and Ashland's experience edge, why wouldn't Ashland be happy with the draw?
