I would consider it an upset as well. But it does to show that the District win last year was no fluke.

 

On Mason County's end, looks like Carver was dealing all night long, while Bracken had some defensive miscues & surrendered too many walks.

WOW, I would say this is quite the upset!!!!

Carver pitched well had good location. We lacked patience and discipline at the plate. Carvers change up was working well. We had several hard hit balls but they were right to a fielder.

3-hitter. Impressive performance.

Man it's hard to pick games in the NKY area.

I would not consider it an upset. I may be biased because my daughter plays for Mason County but still feel like these two teams are VERY close to evenly matched.

 

For some reason Mason County is not a cold weather team. They ALWAYS play poorly at the first of the season but as it gets warmer they start to play better. Really weird but that is their tendency.

Mason County and Bishop Brossart(over the last 10 years) will always be the measuring stick for all Bracken County sports, so don't consider any upsets,( in summer sports anyway), what is strange is that Bracken County has played twice the amount of games as Mason County, which may throw out the theory that you have to schedule 40 games in softball to be successful
