According to the text I got from FarBeyondDriven, GC was down 3-1 in the 7th and Brooke Dossett drove in the winning run with a 2-out RBI double. Congrats to Brooke on the game winner.

Very interesting game. Carroll County plated two runs in the bottom of the first with a 2 run home run to left center by Kelsey Ogden, and had a 3-1 lead until Gallatin scored 2 runs in the top of the 7th. GC forced extra innings/ITB, and scored in the top of the 8th to go up 4-3. CC had a runner on third with one out and GC pitcher Danielle Nichelson made a huge play by catching a line drive up the middle, then got the third out and the win when the final CC batter was called out trying to bunt for a hit when the bunted ball hit the batter after she was out of the box. Congrats to Coach Edmondson and her team on the win, and for staying calm in the face of adversity.

Does Kelsey O play with the nky bandits? What grade is she.

Carroll should have bunted with one out, then not bunted with 2 outs. I think Kenzie's arm may be broke by the way it looked this morning. If not she will pitch next game against Gallatin, at least to one batter.

Hopefully she is ok...I may have to try and make the next game...I love fireworks!

That's a discouraging way to end a game. Sounds like an exciting comeback on the road. Nice win.

Hopefully she's ok. We had a girl get hit by a pitch Wednesday in the same spot on the arm, She will have surgery today I think. Another good JV player who started Varsity last weekend at Pete Knoll broke her ankle. We dressed 11 last night and had to play 4 Varsity on JV.

I thought Coach Hawkins would utilize the bunt more often in this game, considering GC's regular third baseman did not play. I would have bunted down third base side all night long.

Good player, plays with the Kentucky S.W.A.T.T. I hear she is drawing interest from Campbellsville University.

I was told this morning that Carroll was not missing any key players. Their infield was in tact so I can only guess that any girl missing was an outfielder .Didn't Odgen come into the JV game,along with other Varsity starters, only after the team was losing this game? Not trying to take anything away from the hit, but if it was as severe as you say, how did she manage to come in and pitch the JV game?

No one was missing from varsity . It was not her throwing arm, and she didn't say much about it till it was black and swollen this morning, and cant make a fist.
