Oldtimebaseball84
I'll weigh in..... CCH goes 3-2 in the first five games......From the previous rankings, they beat the #25, #7, #3.....lost to #3 (by one run), and the then number 1...........in the Prep poll they fall from #19 to out. NCC was #7, loses to the #1, CCH unranked at the time, and not sure where Trinity was ranked. Finishes in 6th place in the 6 team tourny (Lex Cath, CCH, St X/Brossart, Trinity/NCC), and they fall from #7 to #20 Glad to see NKY team still ranked, but feel CCH should be in there as well. mcpapa
Huge central KY presence in the poll. Woodford, LexCath, Creek, LCA, Harrison (I know, Region 10, but still), West J, Lafayette, Dunbar, Est J makes 9 of the top 16.

Nice schedule to start the season for the Colonels. No fluff.
Oldtimebaseball84
I agree. First time I was a part of the Loew's Catholic Schools Tourny. Good baseball......great Lex Cath facility.....and they also gave us the flexiblity to play the NKY vs NKY matchups up here instead of traveling just for the gate $. CCH v BB and CCH v NCC. I agree. I would have expecetd CCH to crack the top 25 and would have expected NCC to drop out.

State baseball polls have to be the hardest to vote on. Who pitched when you lost? Who pitched for the opponent? Were you resting your starting catcher? Way too many variables other than to say "best against best - who wins?"

KY Thorobred
Who are the lucky people that get to vote for the state polls? Each region has a coach that is a representative for the KHSBCA (Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association). Those reps vote on the state poll. It looks like 2 regions didn't vote this time around.
BIG BLACK JACK
Bowling Green just got swept in a three-game series against Greenwood. Definitely will drop them far out of the top 25 for now.
PAPA PIGSKIN
The whole district of Lex Cath, Lafayette, PLD, Tates Creek and LCA are all ranked in the Top 14. WOW!!! You win that district and youve done something.
