Lawrence Co 62 Johnson Central 57

WOW!!! This is a HUGE win for the Dawgs. I thought last week that JC was the leader in the Region but they have really had a tough week. Enough can't be said about Coach Anderson, his staff and the kids at LC. They are young and have battled a lot of adversity. This is another big win for the program. Anybody have Thompsons stats? I hope the recruiters around the state get a look at this kid because he can flat play! With the youth they have I wouldn't have dreamed of them beating both JC and Paintsville this year. This is a heck of a way to enter the new District! Should be fun for a lot of years! Congrats to the DAWGS!!! :ylsuper:

This is a big win for Lawrence, but JC will bounce back. Every team in the 15th has been through down spells like this. The 15th is really up for grabs, March will be fun and JC will be right in the middle of it!!!

The 15th is definatly wide open after this week. That is going to be a great tourny!

Where are you Eagle Fans, what is your guys take on the game? Are your Eagle's in trouble or will they bounce back against a very tough schedule coming up. IMO, McCarty has to get more touches/shots for this team to be successful.

Congrats to the Dawgs on a good win over JC!!

I am not surprised about this game in light of the way that JC has played this week. This game is just a reminder that anyone can lose on a given night! So teams need to take each game serious, especially come tourney time. LC is still not at the top of the 57th, but they can't be overlooked either. Most of their wins occur when teams don't keep Thompson in check. Without a good night by Thompson, they can't beat the other 57th teams!

Paintsville was in a slump and now they are playing fairly good again. SC seems to be struggling right now! You just never know. Come March, the team playing the best will win. I'm sure that most would agree that the favorites are still Paintsville and Johnson Central.

Nice win for the Dawgs!! Good luck to them the rest of the way!!!

Well I am not a JC fan but I think this coach is doing a good job and will have them ready tourney time. I see him getting many players in and out of the game and will be hard to handle in late Feb. Last year imo their coach didnt use his talent very wisely. Kids on the bench were as good as players who played. It appears to me that a different player leads them each game.

McCarty is a fine player but he cant dominate the game by himself.

Funny you bring up last year's coach. I'm pretty sure he was sitting on the Lawrence County bench. :D

This the same Lawrence team that lossed to Rose Hill?

Every team is up and down this year. BTW, Rose Hill isn't as bad as you might think!!

I think he was the same coach setting on the bench the first time Johnson Central pounded them. I dont know what this has to do with this team except I just made a statement I think they are better this year without him.

Don't worry about it BuckMaster it is a touchy subject for King James.

I am not worried, I just wander what his interest in bashing the JC program is all about.

I am from Pike County and I think we should all be positive with our youth today. Their is enough negative to go around. I looked at his post and he appears to just pick on JC. I know several JC athletes and they are fine young men in my opinion. Anytime their is a coaching change the players have an adjustment period to the philosophies of the new coach.

For example Coach Jackson from Pikeville took some criticism early. I bet now knowing his dedication and demands from the players no one would question his hire. His players are working hard in the weightroom and he will bring Pikeville back to a state level if he is given time. I see him at many Jr. High functions which tells me he is looking to build from the ground up.

King give the kids and the school a break. I am an outsider looking in and see their is a hidden agenda here.

The 15th is possibly the weakest region in the state.
