Playstation 4- Announcement Tomorrow (Plus other Updates and Info)

Featured Replies

Sony is said to be unveiling the Playstation 4 tomorrow at an event in New York City 6pm EST.

Rumors so far

- $429.99 & $529.99 price points

- integrated with tablets and smartphones so you can chat with friends or buy games and have them directly downloaded.

- each system will come with "Playstation eye" which allows you to watch your friends play a game even if you don't own that game.

There are other rumors as well, just don't feel like posting them.

Below is a picture of the prototype Playstation 4 controller.

New Xbox will probably be better.

New Xbox will probably be better.

Regular xbox wasn't. 360 wasn't. Why think this one will be?

I'll be getting both, but I'll always be more loyal to playstation.

That's for another thread but the 360 is better than the Ps3

PS2> Xbox. Xbox 360>>>>>>PS3 it's not even funny.

Have both...PS3 > 360

Microsoft had the hype but in all honesty PS3 has been much better system for us.

No Red Rings and multi failures with our PS3 the way the 360 is.

Same here. 360 has been behind the PS3 from the beginning. Heck, it just got the abilities to surf the web. Ps3 is the far superior system.

It's almost a moot argument because we're not going to change any minds. People who like each system will side with that system.

Well the PS4 has been revealed officially. They have shown off the controller the dashboard, different interfaces and other things. Not going to go a whole lot into the stuff but I will point out some things people have said so far.

- Sony has a dashboard interface extremely similar to that of Xbox

- Two separate processors where you can download games and play another without being interrupted.

- you can boot a game playable from where you left off when your PS4 is in "sleep".

- Sony is pushing social integration really hard, too the point of where its kinda annoying.

Don't know if they actually showed what the system would look like though. Haven't seen a picture of that.

I've checked a few websites that are streaming the event and a lot seem underwhelmed to what Sony has presented as the big reveal. A lot seems similar to the PS3 and other devices by Sony.

A lot of commenters have said the same thin as well so take it for what it's worth.

Based on what Sony has shown, which is nice, I fully expect Microsoft to blow them out of the water (Don't let me down lol).

FWIW if HALO didn't exist the 360 sales would pale in comparison...HALO has kept the 360 relevant.
