Estill County 60 Harrison County 57

The Engineers improve to 12-13.

The Thorobreds fall to 15-9.

Does Estill still have the band that plays the bell of the the train coming into town? Never got to play them when I was in school but did witness them at a few regional games in the early 2000's when they were still a part of the 10th.

Last time I saw them (2005) they did. That was a great band.

Yes they still have it. This was a good game. Harrison took a 1-0 lead, once Estill took a 2-1 lead they never looked back and lead by as many as 11 in the 3rd. Harrison County stayed in the game by one of their players knocking down 3's, didn't catch his name or his number, maybe KY Thorobred knows the name. It was either Pulliam or Kendall. At the end, Estill just knocked down their free throw shots, Harrison had a chance but missed the 3 at the buzzer.

This was an upset.

I'm gonna have to start going with Big Slink's predictions he's usually somewhere in the neighborhood of the final scores..

Pullium was drilling the 3's late. I think he had 4 in the 4th quarter.

Just a little too late. It will be interesting to see how the Breds respond against Nicholas tomorrow night.

Congrats to Estill. It sounded loud in there tonight.

I know someone was hitting 3's left and right for the Breds. Harrison should defeat Nicholas. KY Thorobred you should have walked up and introduced your self. I was easy spotted, running around on the floor, checking the water coolers for both teams, giving water to the Estill players during timeouts and end of quarters.

I wasn't able to make it down there so I listened to the guys on WCYN tonight. I can remember going to many games there in the past when you all were in the 10th. I always liked the setting for the baseball field.

Speaking of baseball, we should have a dandy of a baseball team this year. Wished we'd play you all, not sure why that series was canceled

Estill also has a brand new court. Here's some pictures from Harrison County and Buckhorn. The team in Purple is Buckhorn. In the Buckhorn Pictures, Picture #1 & 4 is Buckhorn's star freshmen player, Connor Hoskins. Also, in one of the Buckhorn pics you can see some lettering in front of the Buckhorn bench (visiting bench) it says Engineers. Theirs some lettering's in front of the student section on the other side that says Lady Engineers. Underneath each basket, on the court (Out of bounds) says Estill County on Both ends. Picture #4 of the Harrison County game, the kid with the ball is our best on ball handler this season and he's only a SO. The best true on ball handler was out for the season due to a torn ACL, he's also a SO.

All State,

Harrison County has the same uni colors as your district foe, the Owls. Had to take a double look, thought it was the Owls at first glance.
