Professor Kingsfield here. You, too, fall under the gross generalization category. I often disagree with RTS, often with LN, often with BGC. Could name a few more. The difference between them and those in the "low hurdle" group is that they bring intelligence to the discussion. They make you actually consider what they're saying because they do not fall into the trap you do which is to generalize and use pejoratives.

Truth be told there are 5 liberal news station and 1 conservative station. It's easy for most American to be misinformed if they only have 1 station opposed to the others. Your older generations are going to watch CBS, ABC, NBC because they grew up with their parents or grandparents watching them.

 

Some do try to act smarter, I think Obama is one of them.
