Final from Hebron tonight. Led by another balanced scoring attack and a swarming defense the Conner Lady Cougars were able to run their record to 20 and 3 with an impressive win over Simon Kenton. Conner was led in scoring tonight by Brooke Maines who had 19 and another outstanding performance by Player of the Year candidate Jordan Scott who had 15 points and 14 rebounds. Also in double figures for the Lady Cougars were Madi Meyers with 13 points and freshman Hunter Hendricks, who opened the game with 3 early 3 point shots and finished with 11 points on the night.

Next up for the Cougars will be Holy Cross on wednesday (1/30) in Latonia and Cooper (1/31) at home on thursday. They end the week with a roadtrip to Harrison Cty next saturday (2/2). Good job tonight Conner and good luck the rest of the season.

Wow! Another blowout by a 9th region team. I remember hearing something about "bubbles being burst" in the 9th by this particular team. Man, I can't wait to hear the excuse tonight! Was the gym too cold? Too hot? Did the Conner fans cheer too loud? Did they put you in the incorrect locker room? Did the bus take a wrong turn on the way to the game? I thought I read that the SK team was fully prepared for tonight, so something must have happened on the way to the game. Can't blame the Kenton Board Of Education for this one! Really is starting to look like the poor Pandas were a victim of 3 games in 4 days and that win was a fluke!

 

C'mon, for once just say it. "The better team won tonight and they are from the 9th region. They whipped us and we had no answer." Its okay!

 

By the way, if you don't know by now, this is directed towards everyone's favorite SK fan.

I agree. I really thought this would be a great game. I won't tell Jolmsted this, but I actually thought the Boone game was a fluke. Not that Boone is a fluke, but that SK just caught them on a day when they decided to put it all together. But this one makes me wonder.

I guess if everyone is gonna keep ranking the NKY teams each week with the rate things are going just please do your rankings in pencil! :ohbrother:

 

We're all going to start bribing Big Zig to not rank us number 1. I'm starting a collection from the HHS fans tonight!

We do! Senior night at HHS. We'll be starting our 6 seniors that night! Not dogging the team. I have respect for their program and players. Heck, I coached half of the youngers ones! My special buddy knows who I'm dogging. We go waaaayyyy back.

 

If they beat us, they beat us. I won't have any excuses and I won't attack the team that beat me. And we don't avoid them. He'll know what that means too.
