Newport Central Catholic 63 Bishop Brossart 37 All"A" Semi-Finals

Its not the talent. From what I see from the past and present is the coaching. NCC always made the right adjustments and left Brossart stratching their heads. Go back to MacDonald and Dawn. Well prepared with sometimes less talent, but got the job done.

Just a question because I have no idea...but has BB been waiting for this class to get here and they aren't performing now or did they overachieve last year so there were high hopes for this year? I guess I'm asking ...are they as talented as the BB followers think? I'm not familiar with the history of this class. Just Asking! Not starting trouble. Obviously there is something going on! I'm just surprised that after being coach of the year and some Brossart followers wanting to name the court after him just awhile ago that he has forgot how to coach.

That's how they roll.

Well RCC9 I guess it all determines on who the followers are that wanna name the court after him. This group IMO has not reached there potential at all! Yea they have alot of talent and there record is good but if your considered a really good team you dont get beat by 26 by NCC in a semifinal game. The game of basketball is a game of adjustments.... Some teams do it and some teams dont. No disrespect to NCC by that comment cause they came to play and they earned it!

I agree with you BB sports..... How in the world can two teams have all this talent and are very well matched up and these kids have been friends for years playing together since grade school and get beat twice this bad???? How come NCC called a timeout and made changes and then they walked away with the game and Brossart had no answer??? Could someone please explain to me how these two teams with all the talent they each have why these games arent nailbiters????

First and foremost it's called Girls sports, period end of sentence.

Secondly, the kids could care less whether these games are nailbiters or blowouts, I personally think that is all fan and adult talk, its not about us, jmo.

Its just not that important to the Girls imo, true their are some ultra competitive programs and kids but the majority says that little Susie is more worried about her next date or who might be dating her date in H.S.

Its very frustrating to watch, I have been doin it for 6 yrs and when my daughter was an 6th grader I said no way would my daughters team play like these Srs, well guess what, my daughter is a Sr and that team would have beat my daughters team by 30 tonite and tomorrow nite my daughters team wins by 30. Just sayin...

I hear what you're saying, I just really don't know the history. Did this group dominate the camp co catholic league growing up? Are they AAU proven? Have they competed and been challenged or have they always been above their competition? I'm not starting trouble or putting the kids down, I really don't know and am curious. Remember, outside of a few, I really like Brossart!!

Freshman and junior classes each have multiple girls who have 2 Diocesean championships under their belt.

From the junior class, did any of the girls that earned the championships end up at other schools. I know of two 3 of the girls from the good freshman team didn't end up at Brossart. 1 to ND, 1 to NCC and 1 to Cov Latin. Was that the case with the junior class or did they all come to Brosart?

Brossart is loaded with talent. These girls should be winning by 26 instead.

I wouldn't go that far, but I agree they have some very nice talent.

They're obviously the best "A" School in the 10th Region. And because they go to the region every year they are obviously one of the top 8 teams in the entire region. I guess if they are expected to go to the sweet sixteen then they have underachieved. All I see is success though.

Pretty sure all from the junior class went to Brossart.

From the junior class who won the championship, St. Joe or St. Mary? Didn't Futscher and Kiernan both play at St. Joe?

Im not sure on the numbers who won championships and went somewhere else? I know alot of these girls played AAU and some still do. Its just hard to sit back and realize they have alot of talent and IMO are not reaching there potential and are not being put in that position to do so. I've always said.... Talent will only take you so far. Once teams figure you out then its up to someone to figure out what to do or change. And its not up to the girls to do that!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought St. Mary won both years.
