January 24, 201313 yr Author Braves get: Justin Upton and Chris Johnson Diamondbacks get: Martin Prado, Randall Delgado, Nick Ahmed, Zach Spurill What? Traded Prado?? Ugh.,,
January 24, 201313 yr What? Traded Prado?? Ugh.,, Yep. Only thing i disliked about it. But I will say that the way Simmons played last year could ease the pain and our outfield is going to be awesome.
January 24, 201313 yr Plus Prado is a free agent after this year. Probably would have wanted more than Braves willing to offer. Probably a reason why tey hadn't worked out an extension yet.

That's the only reason I'm slightly okay with trading him now. Upton will be here at least 3 seasons whereas there is a good chance Prado was leaving next year.
January 24, 201313 yr Also glad we kept Gattis. Who plays 3B? Johnson? Probably a platoon unless someone really steps up in spring training.
January 24, 201313 yr If Uggla can bounce back to any kind of average season we have this for a lineup. 1. Simmons 2. Upton 3. Heyward 4. Upton 5. McCann 6. Freeman 7. Uggla 8. Johnson 9. Pitcher
January 24, 201313 yr Author Probably a platoon unless someone really steps up in spring training. Any decent 3B available? Braves apparently still have around $10 million in payroll left. I did just look up Johnson's batting stats and they aren't bad though.
January 24, 201313 yr @Ken_Rosenthal: Also on Prado: One of most popular players on #Braves, if not most popular. One former Brave ays losing him is a "bad move."
