Knott County Central 59 Cordia 55 (14th Region Class "A")

Great game. Owootoah 25 pts. Justice 15

I agree, great game. But as a neutral observer it seemed to me, and pretty much everyone sitting around me, that the officiating was slanted toward Knott Central quite a bit. It made a difference in the outcome IMO.

I also have no dog in the fight and was only there to evaluate some of the players. As a neurtral observer I'll just say that it was very bad and leave it at that.

Check out this spin move:

That kid is the real deal:

I was really impressed with him, Wireman. He is extremely quick with the ball. I wish Rhodes had turned him loose and allowed him to take over the game in the second half, because Knott really didn't have an answer for him defensively. He's actually a little too unselfish IMO.

Some kid from Knott Central that I talked to at the game said Cordia had two or three more transfers that will be eligible in a few days. One is 6'8 and he said the other was about 6'10. I don't know if this is true or not, but he pointed out 3 young men standing behind the rail on the other side of the gym and said that was the players he was referring to. I don't know if they were as tall as he said, but they looked like they had some size. Their eligibility would really enhance Cordia's chances of making it to Rupp if they can actually play.

The kids on the rail were Jamar Ergas, MiKyle McIntosh and the kids from 22-FT Academy. But, thet do have a 6'7" kid who'll likely be eligible soon. Ive heard hes really good.

Id turn Owootoah loose if it was me. They had no answer.

This sounds like a good game. With the win Knott Central goes to 17-3, (11-1 region). Cordia falls to 10-7, (7-5 region). This could be a district championship re-match.
