Fairview and Boyd have both proven that they can be Ashland. And it isn't beyond possible that Rose Hill could knock them off too!

It is fine to rely on Owens, but what happens if he is cold, gets injured or in foul trouble? It may not matter when you're playing a bad team, but it sure will matter when you are in the tournments. Boyd's players need to suck it up and not complain so much and they need to play more as a team. This will get them further come tourney time.

I just wanted to revisit this thread, with the gift of 20/20 hindsight. We all make predictions, and just like the weatherman, we are all wrong more often than not.

 

I chose the quotes below, not because they picked the wrong winner (we've all done that), but because they each made some snide comment toward someone else's prediction, or were "over the top".

 

Let's take a look at the perils of prognostication:

The reports of Ashland's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

 

On a side note, I would not have picked Ashland to beat Boyd by 16, either. Then again, if one is going to make predictions, it would appear to be wise to temper it with a modicum of understatement.
