Simth is a good catcher nobody said he wasn't. The kid from Leslie County is to and so is Jason Bowling from Owsley. I don't think no one is hands down the best is all I am saying.

 

I'll agree with that. One player will have a good season, while another may not. Being cosistent is the key. And I would say all three have been consistent in the past couple of seasons. I will have to add that Smith caught for most of the season last year for the first time. When he was a Freshman, he only played the C position 3 or 4 times. If that much.

 

Bowling has a good arm. I've only seen him catch a few games and I timed his throws, during the game, and in between innings. I got a pop time of 2.1 during a throwdown for a runner stealing and 1.9-2.0 on a throw before the inning started. Not bad.

 

Leslie's catcher, I have only seen once. I can't say anything about him until I see more of him.
