How about a Kimber Pro Tactical Carry? My bad, that is the next gun I am going to buy...

Shoot, buy it for her, you can use it if she doesn't like it.:D

One thing about this economic down turn, if Obama keeps it up he is going to make me a righ man. Its like I have 48 gold bars sitting in my gun safe right now.

I don't think she's ready for a Kimber...

If I were a woman, I would get a .380. Great concealment gun and doesn't have a lot of backfire. A bersa 380 is fairly inexpensive and also a good gun.

If I could give any advice that mattered, it'd be to take her with you, and I know that there is a place in Lex (can't recall the name off the top of my head) where you can pay for ammo and try the weapon in their range before purchasing. It'll be tough to get a read on what is best without letting her try. My method stunk, because I just bought the darn pistols first then took her to the range with me and now I have 2 that I'm not in love with but have strategically placed in vehicles and nooks and crannies about my dwelling.

Bud's Gun shop. One of the best gun stores in the country.

Yep, Bud's that's it.

That's where I first shot the Rem 1911. I liked it,,,,,,,,,until I shot the Kimber.:idunno:

Just bought my first handgun a couple weeks back. Got a block 23. 40 cal. and I love it. I am taking my CCDW class this Saturday and I can't wait!

No comparison is there? I own a colt military issue that has had some of the interior part replaces with new pieces. It is an excellent firearm, but it doesn't compare to my Kimber.

Nope, not at all. I fell in love with my night sights. Just a wonderful gun. Sad thing is that I'll have to go off the chart to top that weapon.

You guys need to stop. You're giving me pistol envy.

I am not willing to spend the money on a pistol that it takes to top that weapon. Now I am not opposed to spending it on something say a little larger:).

Buds guns will fix that for you in a flash Watusi.

Just got home from the gun store here, and the shelves are barren. They did have several Kimbers left. A couple of Bersa in .45ACP left (I may snag one of them) and still plenty of revolvers. It's amazing the # of firearms out the door.

Ammo is scarce too, even online.
