Great meet. This was run very smoothly. Only complaint would be the seating. The parents could not see the 60m hurdles or the 60m dash because of all the athletes on the field.

Any surprises? Liversedge winning the mile? The young Ballard girl sprinters? Eaton posting a 9:11 in the 2-mile?

 

I wish I had seen the boys 400 - looked like quite a race.

no this was an unscored early season meet. Almost like a practice meet. still a lot of great times for January ! :scared:

Looks like Lloyd did pretty well overall...

Just for fun, I assigned 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 values for 1st through 8th places and omitted anyone who finished in the top 8 but was the 3rd person on their team (also left out Ballard 4X4 girls B team).

 

I emphasize JUST FOR FUN - no field events (that I could find - if there were field events please let me know), kind of an "all-comers" atmosphere, not all of the standard outdoor track events.

Eaton running a 9:11 and beating Duncan by 30 seconds was a shocker to me. I knew Eaton was the clear favorite to win, but I thought it would be a lot closer than 30 seconds. Hats off to Eaton on a great race.

No offense to Duncan (because he is a great runner), but Eaton is one of the BEST IN THE COUNTRY. This should have been expected.

 

I was surprised to see our girls up so high in the "hypothetical" team standings . . .

 

I would have liked to see Shane Powell win the 400. I wonder what would have happened if he wouldn't have fallen at the line.
