HC played a very good 9-1 Fleming County team today and took 5th place in the Montgomery County Holiday Classic. HC was 2-1 on the weekend. Lost their opener in OT on Thursday. HC led pretty much th entire game. Was up as many as 13 in the 2nd half. Held off a bit of a late run by Fleming County. Campbell led all scorers with I am guessing around 20. Campbell made the All Tournament Team. Tiberi and C. McClenden also scored in double figures.

I hate to see this final score but the Panthers arent the same without Burns in the lineup.

Any details as to how that happened? Steward came in averaging 22.7 a game and never scored less than 16 coming into this game.

You would have to ask someone that was at the game. It could have been the defense, he could have been sick , could have been other factors too.

HC played a box and one for most of the game. He scored 5 points early and after that he was completely taken out of the game. The young man can play you could tell he was going to score from warm ups and the start of the game. He scored big the first 2 games of the Tourney. You could tell they run there offense through him and were completely unprepared for this type of defense. Burt Pouncy covered him the majority of the time and when he needed a blow, Christian McClendon covered him. He was a very frustrated young man and threw up several desperation shots late in the game. He actually sat for a good portion of the 3rd QTR because of the defense in my opinion. HC did a nice job on him!
