Star Wars Episode VII-IX

Saw nothing in this to get me excited. It is a teaser, true, but after the last few times I got excited for the equivalent of a cinematic colonoscopy I am apprehensive.

Did you really expect the first teaser trailer a year out to give you much?

No, but given the drek that has been passed off as Star Wars for the last 15 years I don't see how any fans can get excited.

Ah, the last three weren't that bad considering that we knew so much of where the story had to go. Some bad acting aside I enjoyed them.

I'm not looking for Shakespeare when I walk into a SW movie, I'm just looking to be entertained and they did that.

Sorry no. They were terrible. Bad writing, horrendous directing, nothing resembling an attempt to make you care about the characters. Even the special effects were irritating. Go to a light show or get drunk surrounded by a bunch of bug zappers and you'll get the same effect as far as entertainment is concerned.

I am looking for character development and characters you can identify with. Unless you are a cardboard cutout masquerading as a human being there was no one to identify with or care about in those films. It was lazy filmmaking. He just basically said "Well you know Anakin, right? Well here you go." He was more human and relatable as a cyborg.
