For those who think the 10th region calls too many fouls, you should come to the 9th where they don't call anything! Wow!

Much better game than last friday, however the 4th quarter was a little less than desired, as the Breds built a 21 point led and then decided they didn't know how to bring the ball up the floor and let the Lady 'Stangs get back into the game and draw within 7 points with less than 2 minutes remaining. It is not good when you have to rely on Nikki Kiernan to bring the ball up the floor. However before the 4th quarter "meltdown" Michaela Ware, Loren Zimmerman, & Ansley Davenport did an awesome job of penetrating and feeding the ball to Mayes & Kiernan in the middle and letting them do their thing. The Breds should stay and practice foul shots, lord have mercy, if they hit 50% I'd be shocked. It was a very physical game with a TON of fouls called. The Breds hold Sarah Futcher to 6 pts, 4 in the 4th quarter.

 

For the Breds it was all Nikki Kiernan and Alexus Mayes, as the Breds two "bigs" were unstoppable down low. Mayes was "WAY" impressive tonight, and Kiernan had the usual 10 plus rebs. and 5 or 6 blocks, a couple of which were flatout ridicules.

I would love to see how many were called tonight, I think at halftime the officials needed to go into their bags and bring out new whistles. This game almost went 2 hours long!!!!

They called things that weren't there and didn't call obvious fouls. You can't wait until the 4th Q to clean it up either.

 

Great game though. Two very physical teams. I admit I thought Brossart would win this game. Congrats Lady Breds!

THIS!!! I think both teams were shooting 2 well before halftime and not long into the the 4th. Hell it was taking forever for this one to end.

Now when am I ever sarcastic?! You just think it took longer because clock management was having so much trouble.

Very disappointing loss for Brossart. Very good game at the half then NCC made some changes and Brossart didnt and It was over midway through the 3rd quarter. Once NCC made changes Brossart didnt have a answer and It looked ugly! Hats off to NCC, they played well. Just never wouldve figured with both teams having that much talent and most of those kids playing eachother or together for years that the outcome wouldve ended up that way!
