No that isnt my reason..... just making a valid point. If Miller even plays point 1/3 of the time for M'boro then he qualifys..... everyone should be able to vote. I was simply pointing out that he appeared to be dunking the question...... and he responded with a choice.

By the way......... anyone know how Proffitt performed tonight against NCH?

I was referring to 13 analyst..... sorry bballfan42...... although you may be doing the same. :D JK

I'm still very interested in who you would take.

miller did not take the last shot because he did not get the ball. griffin took the last shot and missed, but he had hit 5 threes during the game so it was not like it was a nobody taking the shot.its sad that you talk about miller not having the guts to take the last shot,nl was all over him and he wanted the ball, what else can he do?

I agree...... Griffin wasnt a bad choice either.

As a COACH.....I dont see anything wrong with him taking the shot. In theory it was the best option considering Miller was double teamed.

However, my question is....... why did Miller not get the ball. If I'm not mistaken he passed it off, but even if he didnt something still isnt right.

As a PLAYER.....if I'm Miller and I'm supposed to be the "leader" and I'm supposed to be one of the best 3 point shooters in the state, and I am supposed to be Mr. Clutch for a struggling M'boro squad..... I would demand the ball and NO ONE would take that shot but me. Sure its stupid, sure its gutsy, sure it's not the correct thing to do "in theory."

But look at what Patrick Sparks and Rajon Rondo did this past Saturday. Neither of them should have taken that shot. Sparks was nearly at 1/2 court...... Rondo was double teamed and covered like white on rice, and should have passed it off. But they both wanted it and took it, and neither of them would have had it any other way.

Shanade Allen seems to be getting shortchanged in this conversation of who is the best guard in the region. He may just be the best guard in the region and I don't think there is any doubt that he is as valuable to his team as any other player in the region.

I agree...... Allen is very very good, and as valuable to NL as Miller is to M'boro or Proffitt is to SL. However..... it is my observation that most posters on this board seem to think the title of "the 13th's best guard" comes down to either Proffitt or Miller.

This is also my opinion after seeing them all play this season. This is coming from someone who, at the beginning of the season, thought that Allen was better then Miller. However, I was badly mistaken.

Good post. Shanade is a very good guard and vital to his team's success, probably top 3 or 4 in the region, but I agree that Proffitt and Miller are the top 2 right now.

Yeah.... Allen IMO is #3. The thing that hurts him IMO is that he doesnt really do anything specific that defines his game.

I think Proffitt and Miller have just really seperated themselves because, not only are they great players, but they have very defined games. Miller is the athletic sharp shooter..... Proffitt is the ice cold general.
