. Here is one example:

 

NDA called a time out when they scored to tie it up with 9 seconds to go in the game. WV only had one time out remaining. NDA calling the time out allowed WV to advance the ball across mid court and call their final time out with 1.8 seconds remaining and draw up the game winning play.

Not sure I agree that this situation was either bad or good coaching. I'm guessing NDA wanted to make some defensive replacements. The fact that it took WV 7.2 seconds to get the ball to mid-court tells me it wasn't that bad of a decision. That is almost like saying Coach K outcoached Ricky P on the Laetner shot, sometimes things just happen.

For those of you experienced BGP'ers with a good memory, I'm standing beside a certain Highlands assistant coach and Walton drops to zone and NDA holds the ball at half court............somebody wake me up!

So what did Walton-Verona do? Did they stay in zone or let ND hold the ball?

If i remember correctly, It was the end of the third quarter, the possession arrow was pointing wv's way. They stayed in the zone, NDA took a bad shot at the buzzer and missed. WV ball to start the fourth quarter! WV was in foul trouble and the girls in the game were a little gassed, so letting the clock run seemed to work in their favor.
