Birds go 15-1.

Go BIRDS!!!

Was the game close throughout? Nice showing by Coach Hicks' boys. You cannot rule CSHS out of the 33rd District quite yet. They can win it.

The Birds played very well tonight and walked away with their 15th victory of the year. Jeff Vories IS the best guard in NKy without a doubt this year. The kid is awesome!!

I thought that the refs lacked alot tonight against both teams. The biggest thing that I see is a lack of consistancy in their calls.Maybe the 3rd ref should be used during all varsity games. I know it's a thankless job and I by all means do not want to quit my job for it.

Could not agree more Passer. You and I were seeing things from the same vantage point in the stands. Thought Highlands only played okay, due primarily to the poor officiating. Hard to get into the flow of a game when you are not sure what the officials are going to call or not call. I am still mystified as to how Hicks did not get a technical in the first minutes of the game. He definitely intimidated the officials. As for Conner, they are okay but by no means are they a threat to win the Region.

Anybody have stats on the game? How many did Vories have?

Vories had 29. Johnson 11. Ben G 10.

Curry had 17 for the Cougars.

Passer-You would look good in stripes! Congrats to the Birds and good luck the rest of the way!

Thanks for the stats.... .Vories once again lights it up....

I found the boxscore. HHS was up 2 at half and 7 after 3 - played even for the 4th (each team scoring 24).

Having Curry back is obviously making Conner a much better team. Be wary of the Cougars.

Without a doubt? See Duran Jefferson, Mike Hester, even a healthy Tim Tierney and there's at least some question there.

Isn't that the truth...............

I would say that is debatable. Mabye penstripes like you see in Jail.

Vories is very talented. He is one of the fastest I have seen off the dribble. As for the officiating, it was definately not up to par. The only thing they were consitent with is making bad calls against both teams.
