Saw she went out complaining about knee again tonight. Anyone have any details?

I hope it's nothing serious.

It helps if you let people know who you are talking about. I have no clue who Greenwell is, what school she plays for, etc.

Becca Greenwell is the best player in KY and one of the tops in the country. Plays at Owensboro Catholic (I think). Sat our her junior year with a knee injury. Committed to Duke.

She does play for Owensboro Catholic and is the best player in the state.

Read on Owensboro Messenger website that she doesn't think it is as bad as what she thought it was when she went down. But it is the same knee. She is also ranked 6th in the U.S. Her AAU team won Nationals this year. She was named Co-MVP on the gold-medal winning Jr. Olympics team this summer coming off the ACL injury last year. I have watched her on occasion since she was in grade school. Highly recommend going and seeing her team play if you get the opportunity. Special player.

Please excuse my ignorance.

Ignorance is bliss. :p

Meniscus didn't heal properly. Another surgery next week.

I saw that she tweeted that a few days ago. Did I also see that recovery time will be as lengthy as the first go-around?

I feel that kids needs to take more time off. Knnes can not tahe basketball 365 days a year. ACL, PCL and MCL were not as often in the 70's and 80's.

I agree sumoroyal but that's not the way it is today. AAU, and off season high school. It is 365. Unfortunately if you watch enough basketball you can tell what girls play year round and who doesn't. The pressure and costs to be " the player" is high. I wish Greenwell the best and speedy recovery but she isn't the first and won't be the last.
