UKMF listed it earlier. Most people have a gun for protection.

I suppose nationally that could be true. I would bet the farm that in KY that's not true. Again, I have no link to back that up.

I also think that we discount just how many long guns that are out there. I'd argue 'til I'm blue in the face that those are NOT designed or owned for personal protection.

As far as I know, my dad still has his extensive collection. He used to have far more rifles and shotguns (unless he had a super-duper secret hiding place for all his other handguns I didn't know about).
