Some of these kids had butted heads for four years. None of the seniors wanted their season to end last night but they would not have wanted it any other way than to have one last chance to take down their biggest rival. Your guys would have felt the same way and probably worse.

 

This game was turning right before our eyes until the bogus holding call nullified the Grey TD. The Ads also had something going with the dive play and #34 (O. Ford). It's a shame but those are the breaks. Too many penalties and turnovers doomed the Ads in the end along with the usual stifling defense of Somerset.

 

Good luck next week and beyond. I have enjoyed the conversations we have had over the past couple of seasons. You had earned my respect long before last night.

I'm not sure which player it may have been, I did see a scuffle way behind the play and the official was pointing to the side linesas he talked to a Danville player. Most assumed he was thrown out but maybe the officiale was just telling him to get off of the field, not sure what transpired there.

 

FWIW there didn't seem to be a lot of extra-curricular activity in this game.

 

From the visitors side this game was chippy from the start, both ways. Congratulations to Somerset, good luck next week. I did pick NCC in the game poll, but thats what AJG ask for earlier in this thread. I think Coach Lucas is a great Coach and has been the difference maker in most of the success SHS has had against Danville over the past several years. I'm sure he will have a good game plan for NCC.:thumb:

No kidding. Try again w the "We get no respect" garbage. All that was said is that NewCath is playing to potential and is not a team that other teams look forward to bc they are a tough out. You guys have earned the right to be favorites and will be treated as such. No Northern arrogance here, nuthin but respect for your tradition.

The Breds are playing very solid football on offense, defense, and speccial teams. I dont think anyone wants to play NewCath at the moment.

 

BTW I don't buy the Somerset as the favorite anymore than you do
