Pendleton County 53 Newport Catholic 50

Pendleton County (13-2) wins their seventh straight game, beating NCC (4-8). Maybe a little closer than it should have been?

That's what happens when you overlook a team that has no business playing with you. Same thing happened against Campbell Co. in the MCIT. They played again last weekend and PC won easily.

Wow!! Alot closer than I would have expected. Who was the leading scorers? Who looked good? Is NCC improving like I thought they would? Or did PC just struggle?

I'd say PC was looking ahead to the Brossart game. That is always a huge game, regardless what the score was in the first game. They were lucky to get the W the way it sounds.

Ok game just glad PC picked up the W!

Just glad they got the W!!!! Go Cats!!! :dancingpa

The W is important but you can guarantee Coach Biggs, will make a learning lesson out of it GO CATS

Not a very impressive win at all for PC against a very average basketball team.

PC did not look like PC. There just did not seem to be any energy at all in the game. To many open 3's by NCC. Defence sucked. PC seemed to be in a hurry in shooting the ball and not looking for the best shot. They forced some shots down low with triple team coverage. PC is going to have games like this when they play there B- game. We can't win every game by 15-20. There are going to be games like this. A win is a win.

NCC has some very quick guards that gave PC trouble all night. You don't want to give them open looks at the basket.

Now they can look ahead to Bishop Brossart Thursday night.

Go Wildcats

I will agree with Sharp,PC looked sluggish, never got into a flow and overall looked average at best. Can't blame the team for it all though the students were never into it after the start of the game and the fans were not either.Just a dead woodshed last night on the hill.

Actually if you watched both teams play this year it shouldn't shock you. NCC will get beat by 20 to Holmes its all about matchups.

PC has a huge frotnline. NCC plays 4 guards and a good center. NCC could match PC and their center. PC had a problem guarding the 4 guards because they really don't have 4 quality perimeter players. I think this is a blue print if you want to compete. After watching NCC play Holy Cross a couple of us watching said Heil could be an X factor because PC's PF is going to have to come out and guard him. But I don't know who played well for either team, I just know this isn't as big as surprise as one might think.

Have you ever seen PC play?

You really need to see a game in the 10th.
