October 22, 201213 yr I honestly wasn't that impressed, so I guess I'm in the minority so far. They definitely need to put more sauce on it and my crust was rather burnt. I thought it could use more sauce as well. Still pretty good though.
October 23, 201213 yr Sauce kills pizza. If they're light on sauce, I'm sure I'll love this place. Have heard nothing but great things from everyone who's been there.
October 28, 201213 yr I highly recommend this place. First, it's a cool place with the two small rooms. Second, the pizza is very tasty. Sauce is really good. Crust is great. Heck, the cheesy flatbread is great.
October 28, 201213 yr So how does it rate against Dewey's? I like it better, the crust seems a little better. It is similar to Deweys though IMO.
October 29, 201213 yr Author Their sauce is a bit different from most. I could be off but I believe it tastes a bit like pesto. Am I way off?
October 29, 201213 yr Had it yesterday. Amazing pizza. The sauce tasted really good as well. What time were you there?
October 29, 201213 yr Just might give it a try Saturday evening after the CovCath game on Saturday or maybe go down there on Friday night, when everybody else is at a HS football game! Might not be as crowded!
October 29, 201213 yr Just might give it a try Saturday evening after the CovCath game on Saturday or maybe go down there on Friday night, when everybody else is at a HS football game! Might not be as crowded! Small place. I had a wait at 5 on Saturday.
October 29, 201213 yr What time were you there? Around 430. I almost posted while there in this thread that I was finally trying it out too

October 29, 201213 yr Small word indeed. So I am telling "The Boss" about going to Strong's on either Friday or Saturday to try out a new pizza place to us and she informs me that "Oh I have had it a few times and indeed it's good"! When I inquired when and how, she told me "oh the owners dropped their child off at her place of employment ("The Boss" teaches at a local day care) and they have brought in a few pizza a couple of times for us to eat! Seems the owner was attending some culinary school locally to learn to make an outstanding New York style pizza and from what "The Boss" say's, it is indeed every bit as good as Dewey's! So indeed we will be there on either Friday and or Saturday night and maybe just maybe "The Boss" can get us a table quickly if it's busy! "The Boss" never ceases to amaze me, in what and who she knows but never tells me about and after 42 years, I have stopped trying!!!! :idunno:
